It says…hey this is what we do…this is why we exist..…this is us!!
For the Medical Exercise Training Institute (METI) it is “Bridging the Gap Between Health Care and Fitness”. Its been the same message for 26 years. We started with this tagline/message in 1994 and its exactly what we have done since. Welcome to Day 13 of "40 Days to Medical Exercise Success". Last session we discussed looking at your current and recent client list and determining their "therapist, physician or chiropractor of record". These medical professionals are the first you should approach when you begin developing your MET practice. If you are not doing so, immediately begin noting each client's medical professional.
Don't try the shotgun approach to marketing your practice. We recommend establishing a "target medical marketing list" to focus your marketing efforts. If you don't have a target marketing list we recommend these three professionals to start with:

A major asset building your MET practice is to look at your current and recent past clients and determine their physician, therapist and/or chiropractor of record. If you have trained the client to any degree of a positive functional outcome, the client has mentioned you and their success to the medical professional. Welcome back to Day 10 of "40 Days to Medical Exercise Success". This session will discuss developing your MET niche or area of specialization. In the last segment we asked you to review our MET Skills Checklist to assess your skills. This will help you determine your skills and knowledge.
Once you have completed the skills checklist to begin thinking of the 2 - 3 areas you wish to specialize in or your niches. Just because you select MET specialties or niches does not mean you are unable to work with other clients. Developing skills in a niche or specialization will make your overall skill set stronger to work with any MET client.

Establishing a merchant account to take a credit and debit cards online is a must. The business bank account is a requirement for a credit card merchant account.
